About us

Founded by Clinical Psychologist Yvonne Lee, Holding Space was created as a space for calm, clarity, and connection.


Yvonne’s approach is relational, compassionate, and grounded in science, integrating EMDR therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment- and somatic-informed approaches to help clients heal at the root.


She is especially passionate about supporting adults who feel stuck in old patterns — whether that’s anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, trauma, grief, or self-criticism — and helping them find a kinder, freer way of being.

Therapy at Holding Space isn’t about pushing through pain. It’s about creating a space where healing can unfold — steadily, gently, and at your nervous system’s natural pace.

This includes single-incident trauma such as accidents, medical events, birth- or pregnancy-related events or assaults.


Using EMDR therapy, we help the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel present or overwhelming. You won’t need to retell every detail — change happens through the body’s natural capacity to heal once safety and connection are restored.

What Is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, neuroscience-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences — so they no longer feel overwhelming in the present.


EMDR works by engaging both sides of the brain through gentle eye movements or bilateral stimulation, similar to how the brain naturally processes memories during REM sleep.

Fee Structure Update

We’ll be introducing a new fee structure (effective 1 Nov 2025) while maintaining our commitment to accessible therapy for all.


A two-month grace period (until 31 December 2025) applies only to the new session fees for active clients - those who has attended at least one session between 1 September and 31 October 2025, or who has completed the booking process on or before 31 October for an upcoming appointment.


Concession rates and surcharges will take effect immediately for all clients.
